In honor of Johanna Sigurdardottir becoming the first openly gay prime minister in the world, I am posting this captivating NY Times article about lesbian communs in the American South.
I think its telling that when a bunch of men screw up a country, they look to a no-nonsense woman to make things right.
(My apologies for originally misspelling Ms. Sigurdardottir’s name … in my defense, Icelandic names are far from simple)
